Living in a country that's been occupied for more than 50 years is like being in jail. The Jews made rules, and everyone had to folllow them, you can't walk on the streets after 11, if you talk back to a jewish soldier and he gets angry he can kill you or throw you in jail, if your gay and show it you get killed, you have to do everything that the Jewish Soldiers tell you to do.
In the year 2000 my dad got put into jail for cursing out a jewish soldier, the soldier kept on touching my dads truck and making fun of him, so my dad got really pissed and cursed at him, the soldier tackled my dad to the floor and put him in hand cuffs and took him to jail. After a month my dad got out of jail and went back to working and trying to support my family, but making 500 dollars a month with three children wasn't working out, we use to eat bread and cheese for lunch sometimes, and sometimes eat nothing until my dad got off work and brought us food.
When i turned 6, my dad started thinking about moving to the United States, he went and got him self a visa, but me my mom and my two sisters got diclined, but my dad still didnt change his mind. He left us living with our grandparents for a year and moved to the United States to work and support us. Every night my little sister and mom would cry and cry for hours while looking at pictures of my father. It was a really tuff at the time. But after another year passed we applied again for visa, and they accepted us, we left the next week to the Untied States, it was a 20 hour ride, we took three plains to get there.
After a long flight we arrived and my dad was waiting for us, it was the best feeling when i seen my dad, its been more than two years that i haven't seen him. He had a surprise party for us with a bunch of his new friends. He took us back to his apartment and showed us his car that he uses for work.
When i got put into school i made some freinds and started hanging out with them on weekend, i can finally walk around the streets with no one bothering me or telling me what to do, if you want to be straight, gay, or lesbian, you are free to do what you wan to do. Freedom is the best thing you can have in life. The Untied States is my favorite country only because its a free country and you can do what you want as long as your not bothering anyone around you.
